I’d bought this plant a week or so ago & decided it would be a good challenge. Gardening season is just around the corner and once that hits, painting time will take a bit of a hit. I wanted to get it all drawn in this afternoon as much as possible. Tomorrow it will have moved a bit, twisting its leaves toward the light. Such light that there is — we’re in the middle of a giant snowstorm here today. I went out and shoveled the walk four times today, just to keep up with it.
The plant isn’t the only challenge on this one. Many of you will remember that fabric. I’d sworn I wouldn’t use it again, but here it is. I thought it looked good with the little bits of pink splotches in the leaves.
And here’s a photo of my front entryway. Yes, who wouldn’t want a car bumper and an alligator skull to say “welcome”?
