Yes, looking rather hideous today, but I have faith that it’ll look good when finished. I tend to jump around, paying attention to various things. It’d drive me berserk to spend an entire day just painting rose petals, so I’d hack away on them for a while, then make a stab at the glass dishes, the tablecloth, etc.
Notice my color charts? I’ve found it most helpful to keep color charts of all my oil paints, noting the brand name and color. I have them in every shade. Comes in handy when you’re doing still lifes.
And here’s my loyal cat, Picasso, giving me meows of encouragement. He’s pretty smart. At the end of the day, I just say, “House, Picasso, House!” and he give me a look (of disgust?), gets up and goes to the door.
