Today I had one eye on my still life setup and one eye on the doggone squirrels. There’s a sunflower feeder on the studio porch and it’s quite a popular spot for the birds — and squirrels. I love the birds but the squirrels can just go to hell, far as I’m concerned. A few of them have figured out how to get inside my studio. I bring the feeders in every night. Every morning the feeder has been pried open and empty sunflower hulls as scattered.

I’ve set a couple rat traps for them and have caught one. They’re pretty wiley.
