“Storm Coming!”

We had a spot of sunshine earlier this morning, so I wanted to skedaddle over to a certain big tree and paint that view. I wanted to catch it in full fall color glory, but it’s been slow. As I set up to paint, the dark clouds were fast approaching from the north. I was sure I’d get rained-out, so I painted fast as my fingers & brusy could go. Of course then the sky lightened up a bit at the end. At least I got one painting of this wonderful tree in this year. Rain is expected for at least the next 5 days here. By then the leaves could all be on the ground.
