Skipping out for a Plein Air

I had to step away from the pumpkin still life to let things dry. It was a beautiful day here, somewhat chilly. The bright fall colors haven’t yet come into their full glory. Probably next week for that. Anyway – I love this road. It’s just a dirt, seasonal road. On one side it’s woods and on the other side it’s a cornfield. Hardly anybody passes by, which is a blessing. Much nicer to paint here than at the edge of a highway as 60 mph cars whiz by, just a few feet from my easel!
