Day 4: Little Secrets…

The longer I look at this, the more “little secrets” are revealed. Very subtle things, like how the reds deepen slightly at the edges where red/orange meets blue. And how sometimes lavenders show up in the shadowy blues. Hmmmm! And two days ago I was stumped.

Most of the day I worked out in the blackberry patch, cobbling a new support system and trimming back old canes. Had to forage for new posts and supports out in the woods. And it was 85 degrees here. Bad weather on the horizon and I didn’t want to waste a day. It was a relief to get back into the studio, even for just an hour or so.

    1. My dad always used to say, “Marg — you work too hard!” Well, it got me through many years of working 10 hour shifts on the Line at Ford Motor Company. Didn’t paint today at all. Worked like a slave, finishing up improvements on the blackberry patch, draining one of the fountains and covering it with a tarp. Covered a porch swing with a tarp. Never a dull moment around here!
