
I guess this is my #1 favorite spot to paint. No matter the weather or season, this spot always appeals. Today I wasted time driving around, looking for that “wow” factor but didn’t see it. Either there was heavy traffic or no place to park — or no shade (!), so I came home, had a cup of coffee and revived.
Part of the reason why I love to paint at home is because I like to be near my cats. A couple weeks ago a raccoon came out of the woods and chased my dear Picasso, giving him a bit of a tussle. Fortunately I was just walking by with a watering can — and gave that darned coon a good clubbing. Picasso’s 16 and getting a tad rickety, so he’s used to gentle treatment. He’s OK now. So I like to keep a close eye on my “babies”. Here’s a shot of Picasso, supervising the situation today:
