Day 2: White Rugosa

Yeah, it’s enough to drive a person berserk. Pretty challenging. At the possibly horrible/possibly wonderful stage. So we’ll see how it goes. I’ve taken a few breaks to go out into the swamp and plant native plants (hibiscus, swamp milkweed and joe pye weed). The first day I spent drawing in the lines of the glassware. Once dried, I felt daring enough to start putting in some of the embroidered parts. At first glance you’d think it was a simple matter of yellow and blue, but no…. The embroidery floss has a sheen to it, so there are highlights and darker spots. Then the yellow changes color when viewed through the blue glass. So — pulling weeds & planting flowers helps clear the mind.
