My 2 cats have a particular fondness for laying on top of my still life setups. Mr. Wonderful (the tabby) loves to rearrange things to his liking. Because we’ve had lots of rain storms here lately and the mosquitoes and deer flies are ravenous as hell, I decided it might be a good time to do another still life in the studio.
Just try to get a cat to hold a pose! Yesterday I snapped this of Mr. Wonderful (see photo below). Originally, that fabric was laid flat, with no wrinkles. Today I made a quick print to work from in black & white. Then it’s a process of trying to figure out what objects to add to get a certain “flow”. Stay tuned.
