Day 2: Peaches & Pears

The first thing I did today was to paint the “white” (OK — whitish) background of the fabric, with its shadows in shades of gray. I used Liquin, so hopefully it’ll be dry in a day or two. I learned years ago that it’s a big mistake to paint in the design first (in this case it’s orange). Imagine the fun of having to go back and paint white INSIDE all those shapes! I did that once. Ach!!!!

Then I jumped to painting in the peaches & pears (all plastic, of course). I could just paint peaches & pears every day, for days on end. Maybe I’m going nuts? Sitting in some corner, painting fruit, muttering to myself? Hmmmmm. It could happen.

Summer days are just a bit too full. Dozens of places to go. Weeds to pull. Bird feeders to fill. But I’m pretty sure I’ll get this painting done in just a few more days.
