Looking North Across the Creek

My setup this afternoon. After months and months of dark, winter gloom, it was blue sky and sunny all day. How could I not go painting? And I just had to paint some of the piles of fallen trees here. The big ice storm of northern Michigan wasn’t too bad right here, but I felt the urge to document some of it on my property.

And here’s my dear cat, Picasso, guarding me from “scary things”…..

Here’s the finished painting. A bit wild, but hey — things are quite a tussed mess in the woods this spring!
