Shoes

One of the local art groups is having a show featuring artworks of shoes. It’s tied in with a group in their school called “the shoe club”. More about it can be found here: https://www.shoeclub.org/

So why not spend Easter Sunday afternoon sitting in my nice, warm studio, painting shoes? And I happened to have some interesting frames for them in the back room.

The top painting is of some sexy sandals I’d bought years ago — just purely for their looks. Ah, fool that I was! Impossible to walk in them.

The bottom painting was another example of “buying shoes because they’re so cute”. I haven’t worn them yet. But — it was a fun way to spend the afternoon!
