Day 4 here on this one. Lately I’ve been doing a lot of paintings with very complicated fabrics. And I end up wondering why? Ha! Well, there’s just not a lot of other things to do this time of year. Too cold, dark & wet to go out and suffer, doing dark, miserable-looking landscapes the galleries don’t want! So I love a good challenge. Artist friends will call, moaning about the cold, dark days, aching for a sunny, 75 degree day…in a flowering orchard. And every year a few of us will meet up to paint orchards. And we moan about how impossible they are….all the friggin’ trees lined up like soldiers! It’s always something! Meanwhile, I’m just painting my cats….
