A good day to stay inside a nice, warm studio and work! The prediction is for 4″ inches of snow today. I managed to cover most of the background this afternoon. Once it’s dry I can start painting in the designs. One thing I learned today: if I ever do another painting with lots & lots of purple, I’m going to use a purple right out of the tube — rather than mixing it. That turned out to be a tedious chore, having to stop and mix constantly. I’m happy that the grunt-work is done. All that’s left are details.
Here’s a glimpse of my front yard this afternoon. I’d spent much of yesterday uncovering the lions and other garden treasures.
