Bennett Road, Looking East

“Bennett Road, Looking East” — plein air field study in oil on wood panel 8×10″ by Margie Guyot

The sun came out today! Yeaaay! A real blue Sky! A rare treat here in NW Michigan. I just had to go out and paint something! Bennett Road is one of my favorite roads. It’s fairly close by and there are several nice seasonal roads that run off it. But there was no going onto those — unplowed, the snow was around 3 feet deep! So I parked along the side and painted this view. Good thing I didn’t dilly-dally. The clouds were rolling back in as soon as I finished (of course).

On the drive home I stopped along Mitchell Road and shot this view. Looks like Antarctica.
