And here’s my buddy, Picasso. He snoozes all day next to me in the studio, listening to the classical music station. Yesterday I was undecided about the background fabric. Was it too wild? Today I decided what the heck — go with what I’d put down in the first place! Kind of crazy — that bright, screaming green — but I’ve had it with “toeing the line”. Robert Bateman, the great wildlife artist, once told our class, “Try to make something like nobody’s seen before”. Ha! I’m OK with that!
