Pie on a Snowy Day

I painted these little “gems” to go with my most recent painting, “Always Time for Pie”. These are 6×6″ in oil on stretched canvas. Painted entirely from memory. I’ve seen (and baked) countless numbers of pies, so I know what they look like. Alas, a bit of glare on the upper right. I thought maybe people might buy a slice if they couldn’t afford to buy the big painting. Who knows?

Quite a snowy winter here in NW lower Michigan! Expecting 4 – 6″ additional snow by tomorrow morning. I’d love to be out, painting some landscapes en plein air, but it’s not much fun in a snowstorm. I’ve done it and it’s rather miserable. A perfect day for working in a studio, however!

I was joined today by my dear cat, Picasso.
