I learned my lesson. Yes, it’s good to establish the folds and shadows early on, but don’t go crazy with it! In my zeal yesterday, I used white (and shades of gray) over everything in the background, not thinking that it would take days for the white to dry. So today when I started trying to paint the red portions of the cloth, the red paint started blending into the white. Not good! The beautiful reds were turning muddy. Ach! So all I could do today was paint the apples and start drawing in some of the designs. Will I remember this lesson in the future? Hmmmmmm…..
