
The corn – and all its glorious kernels — is pretty much done, more or less. I started working on the fabric this afternoon. Let me tell ya — never again will I complain about painting corn again! For some reason the fabric was a challenge. And I don’t know why. I’d used it in a painting this spring:

It was a typical, dreary, cold, drizzly day, so I hung out in the studio mostly, slugging away. Occasionally I’d take short breaks, doing stuff like bagging up clothes for Goodwill, potting grass for my cats’ winter use, taking a photo of the sky (see below)….

I also did a bit of decorating in one of the studio windows. Anything to escape that fabric!
