Two Plein Airs Over the Weekend

I’ve gotten a little behind on my posts — and yardwork, but that’s another story. This was one of our last nice, summery days, so I headed out to a favorite spot: Shooks Road. It’s right down the road from a popular spot: Cellar 1914 Brewery. This section of the road is “seasonal”, so not many people drive here. Good! I can work in peace.

Here’s my setup:

Saturday was beautiful — sunny, but chilly and breezy. I stopped to paint at another favorite spot, Fisherman’s Island State Park. Of course I felt drawn to paint at the lakeshore, where I was pummeled mercilessly by beastly winds.
