Day 1: Tree Roots Galore

Ordinarily I work en pein air, from life. But I’m wimping out, at least temporarily. The weather’s turned dark, damp and chilly. I’m still suffering from a fall 2 months ago. And this particular view is along a seasonal road that is very steep and narrow. It would be quite difficult to set up an easel in that spot. But it’s so beautiful! That’s Maple Hill Road, just off US 31, north of Eastport.

Some of you may notice the big monitor in the back. It’s dark because I can’t figure out how to use it. Maybe one of my techie-savvy artist friends will show me how it’s done. Right now it’s a miracle I could even figure out how to drag my laptop out to the studio….

So have patience, y’all! I think its fairly decent for a first-day’s work….
