Day 3: Morning in the Swamp

Here’s how things looked at the end of “that golden hour”. There’s only about 1 hour each morning when the light is like this. Thank goodness the weather has been holding out.

I wish I had photographed my painting from that first painting session. But it was shockingly hideous (as they usually are in the beginning). So I finally felt brave enough to photograph it on Day 3. More to come. As I try to remind myself: the key to making a successful painting is to learn how to control one’s panic. So it’s not done yet, but getting there….
