Mr. Wonderful loves to snooze on my still life setups.
For days I’d been seeing (in my mind) a painting on a complicated fabric, with vases of rugosa roses. The hot weather lately convinced me that it’d be a wise idea to at least spend part of the day inside my nice, cool studio. Sadly, my rugosa roses are just about done blooming. But I painted one a week or two ago, so I can use that for a reference when it comes time to paint the blooms.
I must admit that after painting green landscapes lately, the bright red floral patterns were a welcome relief! Here’s how it looked at the end of the day.
