Day 2: While the Snow Fell…

The inspiration for this one came from a vintage scarf I’d found at Wilson’s Antiques a few days ago. And that’s an old, hand-carved horse marionette I found at an estate sale years ago. My dearly-departed friend, Hannah, gifted me the bunny marionette (also from an antique store). Now that I think of it, nearly everything I own has been pre-owned. But I love shopping like that. It’s kind of a “shopping roulette”. Destiny calls….

To set this arrangement up, I moved two step ladders to either side of my “table” (actually an old chunk of plywood a friend had been using as a table-top). I found a length of bamboo (from an estate sale) and hung it between the ladders so I could hang the horse marionette from it. There’s also a rubber angelfish hanging (you’ll see later). The basket and pears are also old.

Picasso, my loyal cat, supervises….
