The first thing I did today was to give the background a coat of yellow. Once it’s dry I’ll go back and paint in the hot pink design. I learned years ago it’s much easier to do it this way — as opposed to trying to paint a background color in between a complicated pattern. And I refined the drawing a bit more on the pink polka-dot dish. Worked on the leaves. Once they’re dry I’ll paint in the stripey patterns in the darker rusty-browns. Just a bundle of fun!
