I’m calling this “done”. The turkey feathers were a last-minute, snap decision. I came back from the Post Office this afternoon, looked at it and thought what the hell.... The pot was from an antique store in Elk Rapids. At first I thought I’d pair it with ears of corn later this summer. But that’s just too “expected”. Robert Bateman, the great wildlife artist, told our class to try to paint something nobody’s seen before. Avoid the trite. So instead of corn, I used two of my wonderful cats: Picasso (the tuxedo on top) and Mr. Wonderful (the mackerel tabby on the right). And that fabric was almost enough to give me nightmares! So — we’ll see what next week brings….
Very wonderful, Margie!!
