I worked on the cats a bit, pussy-footing around a couple of the toughest things: that pot and that fabric. I’d found the pot in an antique store, so it might be old. It seems sturdy and well-made, but the painted designs on it look rather “rustic”. Not particularly well-spaced. Which might mean it’s old. So who am I to straighten some artisan’s work? Crooked lines are interesting. It’s that fabric that’s a toughie! I did what I could this afternoon and had to quit when I started getting cross-eyed.
Then a motion outside the window caught my eye. It was a male ruffed grouse, eating crabapples! Sorry the photo isn’t that sharp. My little point-and-shoot camera didn’t want to focus. I’m hoping I get some wild turkey out there in the tree again. Keep yer fingers crossed!
