On a Warm Day in February…

We’ve been having unusually warm temperatures in northern Michigan this winter. Rarely have we seen a clear, blue sky. At best, it’s just “bright-cloudy”. When blue sky appears, it fritters away as soon as I pack painting gear into the car. Yesterday it was so nice I had to drop other studio chores for a quickie. Yes, of course the colors were blah. The subject was boring. But sometimes you just gotta drop everything and get out there and paint! Picasso, my devoted cat-buddy, was enjoying it, too.
