I love possums and couldn’t pass this one by. He (she?) was in the road by my house yesterday morning. Not too smashed up, so I threw him into my car and ran errands all day. Kept him in the garage last night. Nice and cool out there, so there were no maggots or nasty smells. Still, I knew I’d better hurry up and paint that thing lickety-split today. After I got it painted, I took the poor, dear possum out and buried it in my compost pile. Waste not, want not! And yes, I’ve eaten roadkill before. Duck was the best!
