Here’s a closeup of the rose stems & leaves I painted today. Good thing I bought more roses yesterday. The ones I’d been using were brown and crispy. The new ones are pink, but that’s OK — the leaves look pretty much the same. I hope to finish this painting tomorrow so I can start on a new one with the pink roses.
I have to keep a close eye on Picasso. Never mind there’s a dish of fresh water — no, he prefers jumping up onto the table and shoving the roses aside to drink. He’s knocked vases over before. Here’s a photo I snapped of him last summer.
