A Quickie Along the Driveway

It’s a gorgeous, sunny day here in NW Michigan. We don’t see those too often, so I didn’t want to waste it. This morning I took a little walk down my driveway and saw these clumps of Siberian iris (the ones with the orange-iish stems) and I loved how they looked with the patches of bright, gleaming snow, blue shadows and deer tracks. My driveway is lined with deep purple Siberian iris that bloom like crazy every May. I think the dead foliage looks pretty, too.

And my dear cat, Picasso, came up to me at the end, pawing my leg. letting me it was time to quit — and go feed him….
