
After weeks and weeks of dark skies and rain, the sun came out and I was ITCHING to get out and paint! This is looking south on N. Dennis Road towards Essex Road. Few people drive here — it’s actually a seasonal road; often full of ruts and mud puddles. Only one big mud puddle today, thank goodness. I was happy to see there still was a lot of color left, even though most of it was just the colored leaves on the ground. Every once in a while I could hear gunfire. Opening day of deer hunting season. Lots of excited hunters; lots of frightened deer — I placidly brushed colors around, oblivious to the drama.
