It’s a bit of a haul to lug painting gear down to this spot at Antrim County Nature Area. I set things down and took a little gander at the beach, but oy vey! That wind was just roaring! Waves were crashing! Nobody else was there. I was the only fool to go down there yesterday afternoon, But it was such a pretty day! Big storm clouds scudding by, occasional flashes of blue sky. How could a painter resist? I set up in a favorite spot: behind a dune that sheltered me from the howling, shrieking (!) winds. Ach — and here I am, complaining — and it’s not even winter yet!
