I snapped a photo of my friend’s dog a couple weeks ago and thought I’d surprise her with a painting. He’s a young dog and wouldn’t hold still for a second! My printer (a laser) only prints black & white, but since the dog’s black & white, well — it wasn’t too hard to figure out. Notice how the green grass reflected onto the white fur in the shadows. Painting hundreds of still lifes makes a person notice things like reflected light.

Yes. i see the green reflected on to both legs on Bobby.; You are an accomplished artist; amazing how you capture the essence, the spirit of your subject. and the accuracy of the subject is contrasted by the casualness of the background.
