Two Ears of Sweetcorn

“Two Ears of Sweetcorn” — oil on stretched canvas 18 x 24″ by Margie Guyot

I’d started this one a week (or two?) ago but lately it’s been a been a bad case of paintus-interruptus around here. One darn thing after another kept me from working on this. The corn languished on the tablecloth for days, looking increasingly wretched. It ended up as a surprise treat for the possums and raccoons on the compost pile. The other day I replaced it with a “fresh” ear so I could finally finish this thing. Ever have weeks like this?
