When I started painting this, it was cloudy. Then the sun came out and everything changed. If you’re a painter, you know what I’m talking about. Color values, shadows — everything can look so different in just a minute. So I’ll probably tweak this a little in the coming days.
It was a great day to stay home and paint back in the swamp! Last week was Hell Week. Way too much going on, too much driving. Too much socializing! So I was happy to stay here and hang out with my cats. They keep an eye on my when I paint, knowing I’ll pass out their favorite treats. Here’s Bernie Sanders, looking quite regal:

I think the next painting should be the cats on the bridge. Of course, you would have to fake it and put Bernie in there too! Love the composition of that!
