
All I had to use when setting up this still life was last year’s dusty, dried Indian corn. Today I magically changed it into sweet corn for the painting. As I began painting the tablecloth I could hear thunder booming to the south. Traverse City? Picasso, my #1 cat, surprised me on my coffee break when he came prancing out of the weeds with a chipmunk in his mouth! He didn’t hurt it, though. He’s a “catch and release” type of guy. Just wanted to show his momma “I still got it!”
Meanwhile, Mr. Wonderful takes great pleasure in draping himself across my still life setups…

the problem is how to make art out of a couple three ears of dried up corn, couple three dime store corn ball ceramic piggies, and an old patterned .grandma’s ten cent store table cloth. Weel, see Margery’s use her magic (talent) and change those ingredients in to a vibrant work of art. every time, consistently, always and a day. And this ability is interwoven into her life; her daily chores are no longer chores; but a wonderful expression of how life is to be lived. buoyed up by inventiveness of creativity.
