It’d been a very chilly, dark, rainy week here, but today the skies magically cleared (!) and people finally took off their jackets. I even took off my longjohns! This view had caught my eye all week on my trips out to the potting shed. Finally this afternoon I couldn’t stand it any longer and got out my paints. Supervised as usual by my dear, old cat, Picasso. Sometimes I’d stop an give him belly rubs.

And here’s my setup:

“Apple Orchard just a simple picture; a tree trunk (apple) with with mid greenery and distant trees; nothing spectacular; simple concept but look again; the sure mastery of the detailing of the apple tree; both simple and profound, everything in this pic bespeaks peace, charm, quietness, the artist captures yet more; the mid range and then distant views complete the picture giving the concept you are surrounded by nature herself; the colors intermingle with concept; greens and greys, with occasional shout of sparkling early spring’s bright green.
