Back at the Dunes

It was too nice of a day to waste! I called my friend Cal Kemppainen to join me painting down at Antrim Creek. We slogged around through the sand, lugging our heavy gear, finally deciding to paint in this spot. To the right is a big patch of pines. It’s amazing how much a stand of trees can block the stiff winds blowing off Lake Michigan.

Cal painting…
And here I am, dressed for the occasion…

The cold rain (and snow) returns tomorrow. Oh boy. Glad we didn’t waste a day!
